Godzilla, a new monster film that was released this long weekend has already been announced for a sequel. This doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone as Godzilla was able to bring in more than $90 Million on its opening weekend, Godzilla has the claim of being the largest grossing film for 2014.
When asked how he felt about the sequel to Godzilla now being in the works, Bryan Cranston said the following: “Honestly I’m not sure that I want to be a part of the sequel. I was hesitant on working on Godzilla in general, at first I thought it to be your average monster movie but the emotional tie-ins helped make the movie as amazing as it is. Unfortunately a movie such as Godzilla can only be done once. You’d have to change the film drastically in order to bring in new viewers or else you’d have the same viewers from the first film, half of those viewers wouldn’t want to watch the sequel as it’s the same thing as the original.”
Mr. Cranston made it very clear to everyone involved with Godzilla that he doesn’t plan to be in the project unless their able to find a way to make the movie innovative and enjoyable for anyone who watches the sequel. Currently you can watch Godzilla One by going down to your local movie theatre, purchasing a ticket and watching the incredible movie. Every action scene is incredibly well done and leaves you on the edge of your seat waiting for me.
